Research at Goljyu means learning by building and testing systems, not just writing documents.
We prototype systems, test them in the lab and then in the field, and learn from results. Our work spans electronics, embedded systems, mechanical integration, control algorithms, cloud platforms, and AI/analytics.
We build early versions of hardware and software, test them in the lab and then in the field, and learn from results.
We accept that we cannot perfectly predict behaviour of complex systems. We design, deploy, observe and refine.
Dust, heat, cold, uneven terrain, weak connectivity, busy users β these are not edge cases; they are the default environment.
Some experiments become products. Some teach us what not to do. All of them build our capability for the next decade.
We don't specialize in one layerβwe integrate across the
stack because that's where real problems live.
We treat "always in beta" as a working
principle: stay humble, keep improving, never assume we're done.
Our work in drones and aerial systems goes beyond single-vehicle operation. We have successfully prototyped a small two-drone swarm, designed so that the same capabilities can be extended towards light-show applications in the future. This is an early but important step towards reliable multi-drone coordination.
As part of our long-term roadmap, we plan to build a Cyber Takeover-style Counter UAS (C-UAS) system. Our team has done extensive exploration and tinkering around GPS and software-defined radio (SDR), using open source tools such as GNSS-SDR, GNU Radio, PX4 Autopilot, ArduPilot and RTKLIB.
One of the experiments has been to build an RTK (Real Time Kinematics) base station using open source components, to better understand high-precision positioning and its constraints.
On the agriculture side, our Krishak agri-drone is under development. The core design is largely in place and can be completed once we are able to infuse sufficient funds for the next phase. The drone will need DGCA type certification, and our focus is on building something that is reliable, maintainable and suitable for real farm conditions rather than just a lab prototype.
We are based in Haldwani, at the foothills of Kumaon. Many of our first deployments and experiments are in and around Uttarakhand β hills, terrace farms, orchards, small towns.
Demanding terrain keeps our engineering honest.
Local youth are eager to learn and lead.
Solutions built here scale to other hill regions.
